WHAT'S HAPPENING WHEN?
Below is the plan for the Straw Bear Saturday.
PROCESSION
10:30am Saturday 14th January
The Straw Bears followed by the plough, local schools and dance teams will take to the streets of Whittlesey once more!
The procession leaves the Manor Pavillion at 10:30 and makes its way up to Market Street, via Station Road where dance teams will continue to brighten up the streets as the Bear meanders about the town throughout the day.
The teams attending this year are featured on our Dance Teams page and are listed in procession order.

Please note no parking is availiable at the Manor, please use the park and ride instead.
DANCE SPOT 1
10:45am-11:45am Saturday 14th January
Following the procession the dance teams move onto their first spots around the centre of the town. This first spot lasts an hour so you have plenty of time to wander to see your favourite team or maybe a new one or even a Bear or two!

DANCE SPOT 2
11:50am-12:30pm Saturday 14th January
Starting to spread a little further the Falcon is added to our dance venues, fewer sides on the streets now as some have broken for lunch. During this spot the Bears will also parade around 12 noon from the Market Place up High Causeway to the Ivy Leaf for a quick break.

STORY TELLING SESSIONS
12 noon, 1pm and 2pm Saturday 14th January
Take a break and visit our storyteller Dave Tonge in Queen Street Methodist Church. These events are free and are operating on a first come first served basis.
DANCE SPOT 3
12:35am-1:15pm Saturday 14th January
Adding a location on the North side of Whittlesey, the New Crown joins the list. Still fewer teams on the street as they swap over for lunch breaks.

The final set of lunch breaks are now underway so still fewer teams on the streets, but during this period the Bears will be back out after their break moving from the Ivy Leaf to the New Crown and then back into the centre of town.

All the teams are now back onto the streets, spread throughout the town.
The Bears will be heading towards the Falcon for a brief stop before heading back to the Market Place for the finale.
