WHITE BRYONY
We are White Bryony. We are a high-energy ceilidh duet. From our traditional English, Scottish & Irish folk to our high-impact self-penned music, you can expect hours of foot-stomping fun. Kathryn and Nicky are the best of friends and have been playing music together for many, many years, exclusively for ceilidhs. Our blend of saxophone and melodeon gives us a unique jazzy sound, ready to hurl you full swing into The Straw Bear Festival - Friday Night Ceilidh.
OLLIE SIMONS
SU SQUIRE
SATURDAY STORY TELLER
Su Squire is an eclectic storyteller with roots reaching into the worlds of theatre, street performance and community arts. Weaving these ingredients into the mix to create a style that leans towards the ad-hoc and spontaneous, her tales are seasoned with generous sprinklings of warmth, playfulness and participation (optional but heartily encouraged!)
Previous chapters of her story have seen her spinning yarns in such diverse settings as city streets, pubs, woodlands, festivals, boats, yurts, theatres, galleries, care homes and many more places besides…
Expect a mixed bag of stories from just down the road and from far far away, suitable for all ages from the very young to the eternally young at heart.
