Our live events will be taking place on Zoom. Make sure you have downloaded the application from your app store or from their website here.
The current climate has not been an easy time for anyone including the events industry or the artists who would have been booked for live festivals. The Straw Bear festival are raising funds through the online ceilidh, streamed videos and the donate links to continue to support both the town of Whittlesey and the artists that have contributed to the virtual event.
Any collected funds will be distributed to the Whittlesey Mayor's charity of choice and to the artists featured who should have been performing at the live event.
These are some of the wide variety of organisations and good causes which have received donations from the Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival to help support their individual projects for the benefit of the community.
We have done this for many years now and we will ensure local people continue to benefit providing there are sufficient monies available after all the considerable costs of running the Festival have been met.
Not only does the Festival provide a most enjoyable weekend for a great many people, it also helps others through the funding that we are very pleased to be able to make available.
